The 5th Coordinating Committee Meeting of Women Parliamentarians of AIPA (WAIPA) was held online. With theme Advancing Gender-Transformative Parliaments Towards a Future-Ready and Inclusive ASEAN Community, the meeting organised by the House of Representatives of the Republic of the Philippines.

During the meeting, Yang Berhormat Dayang Hajah Rosmawatty binti Haji Abdul Mumin, Member of the Legislative Council explained the inclusive development, social well-being and human capital development remain the core of Brunei Darussalam's agenda, in line with Wawasan Brunei 2 RIBU 35. Meanwhile, the country's achievements regarding the implementation of the Implementation Framework of The WAIPA Women's Political Participation and Leadership 2024-2030, which was approved in October 2024, were shared by Yang Berhormat Dayang Chong Chin Yee, Member of the Legislative Council. Members of the Legislative Council also had the opportunity to exchange views and best practices during several dialogue sessions which were also attended by panel members from representatives of international organisations.
